One morning, waking up and stretching lazily, i watch the sunlight filtering through the window: what is my role in this infinite Universe? The picture of a shy and clumsy boy, in trousers that had become too short, comec back to my mind. His nightmares, his fears, the fears that he couldn’t confide to anyone. The Fate wanted him to become a man prematurely, he had to leave childhood games for hard life, too early. |

Space for living is a conquest. He was ridiculed, humiliated, mocked, but he never gave outlet to violence. Only the darkness was his friend, it was his fantastic world, the invention to survive. His dreams, nobody could take them away from him. |

A crying in the night wiped out those sentences between teeth, those allusions, that he used to swallow resigned, convinced in a Justice, the word empty of meaning, he always won unfairness. |

I can see him running in fragrant fields; how nice to look at the flowers growing up, plants, taste flavours and smell their scents, touching insects! Close fireflies in a small transparent plastic box and dream while watching their light, admire birds with envy, free to fly away, the owners of the sky ! |

He was convinced that he had been born in a wrong world. He felt himself like a fish out of water; he aways was the different one, in an unjust world where he was pointed out, if not in agreement with standards. I see his mom laying in bed, she cries and sobs; she had to say no for too many times. |

She’d gave her life, she renounced everything for him, luxury of her family, that drove her away for choosing him. A too expensive choice… but love was too strong. It was enough for her to see him smiling, to feel rewarded for all that misery, efforts and humiliation. I see her later, anguished on the landing and waiting; she didn’t want him to know. The fear of bad company, fear of wickedness of life. She was tortured by tormenting visions that her job made her see. In a sense, all patients were her sons. |
